Retail Space

As a Design; The Proposal encapsulates all that was set forth in the concept.

Pointed arches form the face of the wall adjacent displays.

Framed full-length Mirrors, the Wellington armchairs, as well as the pressed tin feature wall and ceiling, fulfil the need for Ornate details.

To add a sense of age, featured antiqued mirrors, polished concrete flooring and Lime washed brick walls.

Additionally, Light was of high importance in the building of Gothic Cathedrals. Large stained glass windows to achieve this, so as such it became a necessary element in the design process. Elevating the ceilings allows the addition of natural light as does backlighting the stained glass ceiling. The exposed grid of the suspended stained glass ceiling resembles the lead used to incase the stained glass windows. Oak was used to build the ribbed vaulted ceiling of Notre Dame de Paris. Oak is thoughtfully present throughout.

A playful additional. A hidden pivoting door joins the separate spaces of the Showroom and Studio. There’s no evidence of hidden passages in Cathedrals, but people do speculate.
